FosterFire Smooth&Tuff: an all-rounder made for use with brass presses. Smooth&Tuff can be used both flame and air drying. If you let this version dry in the flame, it is best to use the mandrel immediately afterwards.
FosterFire Bead Release is available in 3 formulas
Regular is designed for use with soft glass. It is the most economical choice and works for any glass. It is recommended for use on curved mandrels and for extra-long beads.
If you like a more robust bead release that can take a beating, Robin Foster recommends Heavy Duty. She designed these for sculptural work and hollow beads. The heavy duty is usually preferred by boro users.
Smooth & Tuff is made for use with brass presses. Robin Foster uses these for all sorts of things, but the cost is a little higher.
For ALL formulas:
Mix or shake well before each use. The consistency should be like tomato sauce from a can. If the bead release looks rough, spotty or forms a wrinkle when dipping, add water and mix well.
