Sunstone is a transparent, eye-catching, orange
This glass works smoothly in a wide range of flame types, but usually a neutral flame is advised. It is a glass for those who are not put off by complicated kiln annealing, because although the color can develop with processing, it is not until a final annealing in the kiln that the full color will emerge.
The ideal orange color saturation occurs after 6 hours at 580°C. Similar results can be achieved at 4 h 594°C or 8 h 566°C. Overstriking can lead to more amber tones and some haze may occur in thick and/or heavily processed areas. Molten Aura recommends testing some small processed parts to determine what times and temperatures work best with your particular working style and kiln.
For best results, blowouts are preferable to coilpots.
