The unique processes and formulations developed at Molten Aura Labs set a new standard for the colored borosilicate market. The goal is to consistently produce highly saturated borosilicate glass colors of museum quality.

The glass colors developed at The Lab begin as silica. That silica is combined with high-purity chemicals and then melted into glass at extremely high temperatures. This glass is drawn into rods about 6-9 mm in diameter.

Each element used in the glass affects its properties in one way or another. No colored glass works exactly like its transparent, clear counterpart. Even different brands of clear boro do not behave exactly the same. Nevertheless, Molten Aura goes to great lengths to ensure that the balance of thermal expansion coefficient and viscosity is compatible with 33 COE Borosilicate.
