The techniques currently used at Effetre date from the 19th century, the period when the color composer-technician Vincenzo Moretti rediscovered the difficult technique of murrine from the Romanesque period and created a multitude of colored glass and enamel on Murano. Hence, Effetre Murano products are also still known as Moretti. By combining modern technology with the knowledge of ancient craftsmanship, the brand has succeeded in making colored rods on an industrial scale, while retaining the qualities of traditional craftsmanship.
