The name is somewhat confusing. This is a matte blue-gray shade that takes on a beautiful dark blue sheen after processing.
Lauscha glass is manually drawn, so irregularities are part of the specific characteristics of the glass. Lauscha has a COE between 100-110 and usually pairs well with COE 104 of other brands. Nevertheless, we recommend testing first.

Lauscha
Unique hand-pulled glass
Glass has been blown in the traditional way at ELIAS Glashütte since 1853. The Glashütte is the beating heart of glassmaking town of Lauscha.
The assortment ranges from hand-drawn rods for beads, specialty glass eyes and soft glass tubes.
The glass, made from sand, soda, potash and metal oxides, is melted at 1500°C. No substances harmful to health, such as lead or lithium, are added.
Because each rod or tube is handmade and unique, diameter, color and coefficient of expansion may vary. Bubbles, streaks, molds and variations in shape and size result from the manual manufacturing process and are part of the character of Lauscha glass.
Although most Lauscha colors have a COE of 103 and are mutually compatible, the coefficient of expansion can theoretically vary between 100 and 110. We therefore recommend testing before combining Lauscha with, for example, Effetre.
Please note that Lauscha glass for (doll) eyes is not compatible.
