Jet Black is a very dense black. It is well suited for sculptural applications and blown work. It is creamy and works easily. If you process Jet Black, do so in an oxidizing flame. Working the color in a reductive flame creates gray streaks on the surface and produces a dull, matte finish. Apply the color gently. After it is melted in, it can withstand a lot of heat. Jet Black is great as a background for bold colors.
