How nice that you want to know a little more about us.
I am Sabine, mother of three wonderful children and a proud mémé of four grandchildren and very happy with my wonderful husband Bavo. Together we love traveling, good food and drink and, of course, our four dogs. Lola, our Boston Terrier, is even the mascot and mood creator of our glass studio.
My fascination with glass began when I was a child vacationing in Venice. What those glass artists made there I thought was truly magical! And that fascination never left.
I started out as a designer and publisher in the media industry, but after a while I realized that my heart actually lay elsewhere: with glass! So I changed course and threw myself completely into my passion. I took a course in boro glass, attended all kinds of workshops, visited quite a few glass studios and taught classes, and even wrote a book on flamework. Yes, you read correctly, I am totally into that craft!
And when we found that in Belgium it is difficult to find special glass for flamework - you don't just walk into a glass store here for a few glass rods - Bavo and I decided to do something about it. So we started importing the glass products we use ourselves.
In our webshop you will find a lot of beautiful types of glass and some useful tools. We feel it is important to offer only things we have tested ourselves, and we do our best to include additional information with each piece that is helpful to you as a glass artist. If you're looking for something special, or a particular type of glass you're having trouble getting into, let us know and we'll be happy to help!
